Oh yard work. I’ve missed you so. That rake has been absent from my hands for years. How could you deprive me of such joy? Leave scatered among the yard. Sticks randomly laying among the grass and leaves.
Warm breeze oh you’ve been dearly missed as well. You haven’t been around for months and everyone has been eager to see you yet again. With the sun shining warmly down, warm breeze you carry laughter, giggles, screams and squeels with you. Barks, the sound of leaves crunching, branches snapping, chainsaws running.
Sore back, achy legs, sore feet, blistered hands, peeling skin oh you’ve been a sight for sore eyes. Where have you been for so long? Winter months have made you go away. Warm weather no less brings you back. You truly are a sight for sore eyes.
Rakes, shovels, gloves, brooms, hoses, pools, water slides, footballs, baseballs, bats, bikes, roller blades, skates, swing sets and outdoor games… it is around the corner. Excitement is inevitable. The TV to soon be turned off for the day. Video games left to collect dust. Computers left cold. House left empty and quiet. Windows open letting the outside noise in.
Spring is peeking around the corner and soon summer follows.
